Archive
This archive photo, taken after an early Paris 1/8 scale I.C. race meeting circa 1974, is interesting because it features a number of drivers who subsequently
helped establish this great hobby in Europe and who have retained their involvement and enthusiasm to this day.

Far left, we believe is Pieter Bervoets who went on to start Serpent, the very
successful Dutch Company.
Centre is Keith Plested of PB who raced his cars just about everywhere in the world in the 70's and is still busy designing 1/5th scale cars today. To the right of
Keith is, we think, Ronnie Ton who was also involved with Serpent. Far right is of course Ted Longshaw, ex slot car racer,
long time R/C car nut, ex President of EFRA and
still a well known U.K. Retailer. Second from right is Wes Raynor of Mardave with third place trophy from his only continental foray. Mardave subsequently concentrated
on low cost entry level models with less opportunities for top level racing.
We hope we have facts and faces correct, please let us know if not.
Can you help? have you any old colour photographs of the Newbridge Circuit? if you or anyone you know have any pictures, we could use them on this web site. Please
contact Mardave. Thank you.

Mardave are proud to
announce as From the 25th June 2007, Manic RC Cars will be
distributed and manufactured by Mardave. Mark Palliser has decided
to concentrate on his furniture business. I wish Mark all the best
for the future and look forward to speaking with Manic RC Drivers
